We have had the pleasure of Sharon being part of our team since 2015.
She had completed her dental nursing with a distinction from Trinity college and Dublin Dental Hospital. Prior to this, she completed a business studies degree in University of Limerick where is majored in HR and minored in Personnel Management so is a key member of our senior team at the practice,
Sharon has also worked as a primary school teacher for 1 year before she went to Australia where she travelled and then settled into Brisbane life for a further 7 months, but love brought her home.
On return, Sharon worked in HR for 8 years before she jumped at the opportunity to start her journey to becoming an Orthodontic Therapist.
Her warm, caring, fun and vibrant presence compliments the ethos of our practice greatly.
“I know it is a cliche but I really mean it when I say being on a patients journey from the first day of seeing someone being so low in confidence due to their unhappiness of the way they feel their teeth look to the day they get their braces removed is so rewarding.
We really form a relationship with our patients so when they finish treatment the joy it brings to us is so fulfilling. The confidence and the happiness is uplifting.
I can safely say that every day I go into work I get more than a salary, what I get from changing so many peoples lives is priceless.
In our practice I pride myself on contributing to the vibrant atmosphere that meets you as soon as you walk in and that is due to our team of the most amazing girls here.
Each and every one of us genuinely care so much about each patient and their experience and I hope that all our patients can feel that too.
Happiness and pride comes to mind when I think of our practice!”
Sharon also has a personal experience of having treatment herself. Thirteen years ago she had braces with Jeeves saying” he was incredible then with his attention to detail being second to none.
I am so proud to be associated with his work. Jeeves also has a great sense of fun instantly making all our patients feel at ease and comfortable.”
Outside of work Sharon loves sport and has played Camogie with her Club Clarecastle and her county Clare for many years. She has All Ireland medals in Camogie, Basketball and Soccer. She also enjoys badminton since retiring from Camogie and makes it clear that her favourite pass time is walking her “babies”/ dogs Holly and Sophie. They are her world.
The perfect person to communicate all the tips for having braces whilst playing sports.
Sharon very much loves the colours purple and gold and her favourite song is “dancing at the crossroads”…. 💜💛 Wexford Abu.
